Baked a Cake

"Every child is an artist." - Pablo Picasso

This quote could not be truer than true for Ayla. She is such a creative soul and to anyone that has spent even just a moment with Ayla senses that she may have been on this Earth more than her age suggests. 

Ayla really does have some of the best themes for her party and for her 5th birthday she decided on a painting party. As soon as I found out, I knew just what cake I wanted to design - a blank canvas for this little artist to put her own mark on. So that's exactly what I did. A simple white fondant canvas with some outlined paint splotches, some sponges and brushes and Edible Art Paint - all ready for the little Picasso to create her own masterpiece. 

The cake was a delicious vanilla bean buttercake with white chocolate sprinkle ganache.
