Baked a Cake

So I'm finally getting around to sharing my last cake from my Styled Shoot with MJK Creative and Autumn Kisses Floral Design from last year. It's been a whirlwind few months after getting back from overseas, Christmas and getting back into the swing of things with the day job and caking again. Looking forward to creating some pretty special cakes over the coming months! 

With so much fun, pink and prettiness from my other cakes, my favourite cake on the shoot changed with every new setup - but I think that this moody and slightly masculine cake may have been my absolute favourite.

The sharp edges and long, shimmering silver lines of the metallic royal icing drizzle were perfectly paired with succulents, snowberry, white roses, gum, tiki fern and seed pods. Stacked high upon rustic textured timber slabs, like something you would expect to find in and amongst the forest floor on an winter afternoon stroll.
