Baked a Cake

Pink, blue, multicoloured/cheerful, M&M’s, marvellous creations and chocolate. That was the brief and what the birthday girl wants, the birthday girl gets.

After our weekly game of Oz Tag, Simone was telling how she had attempted to make a trial cake for her own birthday party and it looking like ‘My Little Pony threw up’ it was time to step in.

The cake was a delicious fudgey chocolate mud cake filled and iced with a neon-pink, rainbow sprinkle dotted buttercream. The top of the cake was crowned with pink and blue buttercream swirls, jelly tots, M&M minis and chocolate coated pop rocks. Simone also loves horses so I topped it all off with a ‘30’ fondant topper to look like a horseshoe.
